Supporting Others

Truro Cathedral supports a number of charities and organisations, including:

St Petrocs and Truro Homeless Action Group who offer daily support of the homeless and those on the streets of Truro. We provide hospitality for their fundraising and exhibitions throughout the year, and support through the regular provision of hot meals.

We support Christian Aid through hosting the annual Truro Christmas Big Sing, being involved in Christian Aid Week and the Truro city collection.

We staff a monthly stall in the cathedral for Traidcraft to sell fairtrade food and merchandise, and stock fairtrade goods in the cathedral shop.

We support Cornwall Hospice Care through hosting an annual Light Up A Life carol service,  and the display of Remembrance Books on Saturdays (and other particular days across Advent)

We host Acorn and Zero Suicide services for We Are With You (formerly Addaction) and the Truro Zero Suicide organisations for those affected by substance misuse and suicide.

In partnership with Truro Samaritans and the Truro branch of SANDS, (Stillbirth and Neonatal Death Society) we offer the Remember Our Child service for all those who have lost children (adult, child or infant).  It attracts significant support from across the southwest and has been held annually for over twenty years.

Through the cathedral branch of the Mothers Union the cathedral offers ongoing support for the Truro Men and Women’s Refuge.
