TCM
TCM is a group of supporters who share a love and appreciation of the world class music at Truro Cathedral, embodied in its choir and organ.
"Truro Cathedral was designed with music at its heart. TCM will keep this precious tradition alive." Mard Sellwood, TCM Member
The choir
The choir has an unbroken tradition dating back to the earliest days of Truro Cathedral in the late 1800s.
A typical year involves more than 200 services, concerts and broadcasts, featuring over 250 pieces of music, from plainsong to premieres of music by leading composers.
“I’ve been consistently impressed by their sheer power to move people through their music.” Sir Tim Rice, Patron of Truro Cathedral Choir
The 1888 Father Willis Organ
The cathedral is home to one of the finest organs of its kind.
“I've attended the organ recitals for some years and find the sound of the Willis to be exceptional. The recital series provides us with a wide range of music played by excellent organists many of whom wish to tick it off their 'bucket list'.” Roger Pengelly, TCM Member
