Exhibition: We Learnt to Fly: Challenging the Myth - Domestic Violence
The Women's Centre Cornwall is proud to showcase some incredibly special artwork created by young women 11-18 years old.
Red, based in Cornwall has developed a collection of paintings called 'We Learnt to Fly' over the last decade. These paintings have documented her recovery from domestic abuse. Red hopes that the paintings will inspire other women to know the can achieve anything and that however hard things get as a result of trauma and stigmatisation. Everyone has value.
Please be aware this exhibition explores the topics of safeguarding, domestic and sexual abuse, and the views and feelings of victims and survivors. Some of the images may cause distress.
The exhibition will be available to view during cathedral general visiting hours.
