Screening of the funeral of Her Majesty, Queen Elizabeth II
In close association with Truro City Council, The Queen’s state funeral will be live screened from the cathedral. All are welcome.
Doors will open from 10:00 for people to attend the screening and will include the funeral and coverage of the Committal, and we anticipate screening full BBC coverage until around 16:00. Seating will be in the nave of the cathedral, and The Book of Condolence will be moved to the entrance to the cathedral during the screening. A member of the clergy will be on the cathedral floor along with the cathedral team across the day. The restaurant and shop will remain closed however tea and coffee will be available.
Services at the cathedral on this day are listed below and you are invited to join us prior to and after the screening.
09:00 Holy Communion (St Mary’s Aisle)
09:30 Morning Prayer (St Mary’s Aisle)
16:00 Evening Prayer (St Mary’s Aisle)
Please note there will be around a 350 seating capacity for the screening at the cathedral.
Truro Methodist Church next to the cathedral will also be live-screening the funeral day.
