An Immersive Light and Sound Show Coming to Truro Cathedral January 2025

See Truro Cathedral transformed in this totally immersive presentation designed for all the family, created by Luxmuralis.

‘Space’ is a spectacular, immersive journey for people to walk through designed to transform the way people experience a cathedral. By combining visual and auditory elements, ‘Space’ encourages visitors to gaze into the vastness of the universe and contemplate human achievements and our place in the world. Through ‘Space’, Luxmuralis creates a bridge between the earthly and the cosmic, urging viewers to ponder the significance of our existence within the larger universe.

‘Luxmuralis’ is the artistic collaboration between sculptor Peter Walker and composer David Harper. They specialise in creating immersive fine art experiences that incorporate light and sound installations. Their work is renowned both in the UK and internationally, as they craft unique pieces that span multiple media and presentation formats. This dynamic duo has a talent for transforming spaces with their innovative approach, bringing fine art to life through contemporary techniques.

A central theme in their work is the exploration and development of traditional fine art using new media. They integrate contemporary fine art, light, and sound production into historical art contexts, thus bridging the gap between the past and the present. This fusion not only honours the rich traditions of fine art but also pushes its boundaries, making it relevant and engaging for modern audiences. Luxmuralis pioneered unique installations in cathedrals and sacred spaces, transforming them and engaging new audiences. Immersed in fine art, viewers journey through evocative sound and light displays, bringing sacred spaces to life.
