Benefact Trust awards grant to Truro Cathedral

Benefact Trust has awarded a grant of £18,813 to the cathedral. The award will support the work of its operations team in bringing large-scale events such as Space by Luxmuralis in January 2025 to Truro.

Benefact Trust has been very generous to the cathedral, and to other churches and charities, over many years. For instance, last year it awarded a similar grant towards the costs of the cathedral’s marketing and communications team. The Trust was also one of the funders of the repair and refurbishment of St Mary’s Aisle, completed earlier this year.

Julie Mayhew, Chief Financial Officer of Truro Cathedral, thanked Benefact Trust very much for its generous support of the cathedral’s work and said, “Truro Cathedral very much depends on the generosity of grant funders such as Benefact Trust to enable it to continue to operate and care for the building. We are extremely grateful to them, and to every individual who makes a financial contribution through donating, coming along to an event or remembering the cathedral in their Will.”
