Carols of the Roseland

Truro Old Cornwall Society, in association with Truro Cathedral and the Federation of Old Cornwall Societies, welcomes you to the annual service of Cornish Carols.  The service, led by Canon Alan Bashforth, will be live-streamed on the  Federation of Old Cornwall Societies YouTube channel. Each year the service highlights local carols from a particular part of Cornwall. This year we feature the Carols of the Roseland.

A recent project has uncovered over 40 traditional carols connected to the beautiful region, and Truro Old Cornwall Society has handpicked the very best for this special performance.  Enjoy familiar favourites like the 'Sans Day Carol' and 'While Shepherds Watched' alongside hidden gems such as 'Arise & Hail' and 'Resplendent Beauty'.

The carols will be sung by a collaboration of choirs featuring Amici Voci, the Roseland Churches Choir, and two newly formed groups, the Roseland Carol Choir and the Roseland Youth Carol Choir.  Adding to the festive spirit, St. Anthony's Noyse, the Roseland's band, will also perform.

Everyone is warmly invited to attend and immerse themselves in the cherished traditions of the Roseland.  Don’t miss this festive and uplifting celebration of music , community and Christmas.
