The Proclamation of the Accession to the Throne of His Majesty King Charles III

The Proclamation of the Accession to the Throne of His Majesty King Charles III will be made to the people of Cornwall by the High Sheriff at 13:00 at the entrance to Truro Cathedral.

It will be proclaimed in English and Cornish, the Bishop of Truro will offer the accession prayers, and St Dennis Band will lead the national anthem.

The Mayor and macebearers will also be in attendance.

Everlasting God, we pray for our new King.
Bless his reign and the life of our nation.
Help us to work together
so that truth and justice, harmony and fairness
flourish among us;
through Jesus Christ our Lord.
